Comments: One of the nicest Italian restaurants I have been to in awhile. This was actually my second visit; the first being for lunch. The service was impeccable and the food was simply delicious.

The bread was homemade and definitely set the tone for what was to come. They also provided a small dish of olives and peppers which was also a nice touch. We ordered calmari and that was simply done to perfection. Their menu has a wide array of dishes, pasta, chicken, seafood, veal, eggplant. The prices were also just right. I couldn't get enough of my pasta dish or the fish and pasta of that of my husband.

This place is indeed kid friendly. I actually found it quite loud in there. Still, it wouldn't be my first choice for dining with the kids at Peddler's Village but I wouldn't stray away from it if you were interested. The room was large enough so they could sit families in a different area than those, say who were looking for a romantic spot.

Totally agree with your review. Looks like we agree on a few different places. Would love a link or two. I have added you to my Blogroll.

Went to Villagio's for a luncheon with 15 adults and 11 children although they counted 17 adults and 12 children. Unfortunantly I didn't question the bill with all the craziness of having my own 4 children to attend to, but when I realized and call about the $92 difference they said I should have dealt with it before I left the restaurant. They insisted I had 17adults like I didn't know my own brothers, sisters, neices and
nephews. Unfortunantly due to the dishonesty we will not be returning. Service was OK. I didn't feel we received the attention we should have with a large party. Maybe good to attend with only a few people (maybe the servers can count up to 4 or 5 correctly) other than that I would not plan a special occasion with a large group of people.

Went there this past Friday night and was disappointed beyond belief. Got four little pieces of bread which was warm and good. The complimentary olives and peppers never appeared. All salads are Ala Carte. Ordered a caesar salad for $10 which was edible at best. The free salad at Olive Garden is better than this excuse for a salad. We ordered the Grilled Scallops and Shrimp for two ($42.00).
There were eight medium sized scallops and about 12 medium shrimp (the kind you can buy for $9.99 a pound at a supermarket). They were tasteless at best and served with a huge pile of sauteed spinach (which was good but very salty). Folks, I know good Italian food and this place isn't it. You'd be better off with the Cacciucco at Toscana 52 in Bensalem. There you get the most fantastic shrimp, clams, mussels, scallops and salmon slow cooked in light saffron tomato sauce for $20.00. It's enough for 2 people.
The Chicken Toscana with Jumbo Shrimp at $16.99 beats Villagio hand down. Down get taken here.
Whatever was here before is gone now.

I agree, it hasn't been the same since owner Sal left. Food not as tasty and a very rude waiter, a family member, who they won't fire obviously. Never again.
